Construction Update: Southbound I-25 Off-Ramp to Be Closed to Eastbound Rio Bravo from 9 p.m. Friday, June 14 through 12 Noon Monday, June 17

ALBUQUERQUE, 6-13-19 — Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, June 14, and lasting through 12 noon Monday, June 17, the southbound I-25 off-ramp will be closed to eastbound Rio Bravo so that crews can install concrete pavement.

The detour for motorists wishing to access eastbound Rio Bravo will be the Sunport exit at I-25 to the north, or the Broadway exit at I-25 to the south.

The southbound I-25 off-ramp will remain open to westbound Rio Bravo during this work.

Expected to be completed this summer, the I-25 Rio Bravo Interchange project will include coordinated traffic signals along Rio Bravo from I-25 to Del Rio, increase I-25 from four to six lanes at the interchange, improve safety through new bridges and enhanced entrance and exit ramps from Rio Bravo to I-25, improve storm drainage, and open a new multi-use path for pedestrians and bicyclists.

All construction is weather permitting and subject to change without notice.
